Export Bear notes to Markdown
Bear notes as Markdown files in a folder per tag, kept in sync, free with no limit.
What comes out
Each note's own Markdown text, exactly as Bear stores it, in a file named after the note.
Each note lands in the folder of its first tag in alphabetical order, and nested tags become subfolders. A note with no tag is not listed and not exported.
Images and files copied into an attachments folder beside the notes, with the links rewritten to point at the copies.
Exporter reads Bear's database. There is no .bear2bk backup to make and no export dialog to repeat.
A note you delete, rename or retag loses its old file on the next sync.
The format row can switch Bear to HTML, but that HTML is only the note's plain text inside a <pre>, and attachments are copied without links. Keep Markdown.
The Bear folder sits beside your other export folders, and Claude can list and read it over MCP.
How it works
- 1Connect Bear
Press connect on the Bear card and select the folder the panel opens in. Then choose an export folder.
- 2Pick what to export
Every tagged note, or only some tags, with Recent, Pinned, Archived and Files beside your tags.
- 3It syncs
Press sync now. After that, edits in Bear are written to the files.
