Export Reminders to Markdown
Each list becomes one Markdown file of checkbox lines, kept in sync as you tick things off.
A list, as a file.
Open reminders first, by due date. Subtasks sit under their parent. Finished ones move under a heading, so the file is the whole history of the list.

One file per list, named after the list. Two lists with the same name each get a short id suffix.
A checkbox, the title, then the fields Obsidian's Dataview reads: due, priority, flagged, notes, url, recurring, and the reminder's hashtags.
Indented under their parent, the way Reminders shows them.
Finished reminders sit under a Completed heading, so a list file is its history, not just today's to-dos.
A photo on a reminder is copied into attachments/ and embedded under its line.
A shared list says so in the front matter and names its owner. The card's shared pill shows only those.
Every line ends with a link that opens the reminder in Reminders, and a block id another note can point at.
How it works
- 1Connect Reminders
A panel opens in your Reminders folder: press Select this folder. Exporter reads only that folder, with no permission prompt.
- 2Pick lists
Every list is ticked. Untick one and its file goes on the next sync. Pills show every list, the shared ones, or the ones that changed last.
- 3It syncs
Press sync now. Each list becomes
list-name.md, and ticking a reminder off rewrites its file within a minute.

Let Claude read your lists
Exported lists are searchable over Exporter's local MCP server. Set it up.
Then ask: “What is due this week, and what did I finish in August?” Claude reads the lists as files.
