Export Apple Wallet Passes to Markdown
Wallet has no export of any kind. Each pass becomes one Markdown file on your Mac, kept in sync as gates and seats change.
A boarding pass, as a file.
The pass opens with where and when, then the fields exactly as the card draws them, the back under its own heading, and the barcode's own number.

One file per pass, named by its date and what it is, in one folder. A store card with no date is named after itself.
Boarding passes, train and bus tickets, event tickets, store cards and coupons. The front matter says which, so a vault can list only the flights.
Header, primary, secondary and auxiliary fields in order, then the back of the card under its own heading. Nothing is renamed.
The message a scanner reads, so a pass that is deleted is still identifiable. A binary barcode says so instead of writing control characters into the file.
A pass that keeps its words in a pass.strings file is read in your Mac's language, so EVENT_NAME comes out as the event's name.
Older tickets often carry no date at all. Those are filed under the day the pass was signed, and the file says so, so a wallet sorts from last week back to a conference in 2016.
A pass with coordinates carries them in the front matter, and the venue's name sits under a Where heading.
How it works
- 1Connect Wallet
A panel opens in your Passes folder: press Select This Folder. Exporter reads only that folder, with no permission prompt.
- 2Pick passes
Every pass is ticked. Untick one and its file goes on the next sync. Pills show the flights, the events or the cards.
- 3It syncs
Press Sync. Each pass becomes one file, and a gate or seat change rewrites that file within a minute.

Let Claude read your passes
Exported passes are searchable over Exporter's local MCP server. Set it up.
Then ask: “Which flights did I take last year, and what did the tickets cost?” Claude reads the passes as files.
